In a RAS system, the tank is part of a loop: fish, flow, filtration, oxygenation, drainage and maintenance. Sizing is done together with the water circuit.

The tank must fit the water circuit
RAS depends on water exchange, solids drainage, fitting positions, cleaning and fish access. Tank shape must be coordinated with mechanical and biological filtration.
Production capacity is confirmed together with tank volume, species, oxygen, temperature, filtration and management.
Why PP/PE-HD helps
Thermoplastics allow custom shapes, welded fittings and cleanable surfaces. For treatment chemicals or special temperatures, compatibility must be confirmed separately.

Is PP mandatory for RAS?

Can I request a tank without the filtration diagram?
Yes. For a fabrication-ready recommendation, send the RAS diagram before fittings and drainage are finalized.
Does Weldplast publish standard dimensions?
No fixed standard dimensions. Weldplast works made to order, in any dimension required by the project; shape, fittings and filtration are confirmed with the system data.
