For a made-to-order tank, volume and available dimensions are the first references; there are no fixed standard sizes. Stored liquid, temperature, concentration, installation, maintenance access and fittings help Weldplast choose the material, thickness and configuration.
Quick specification table
| Typical materials | PE-HD, PP-H, PE100; PVC/PVDF for suitable applicationsThese materials appear on Weldplast pages; chemical compatibility must be confirmed by substance, concentration and temperature. |
|---|---|
| In-house capacity | Mostly up to ~35 t max (≈35 m³)The publishable capacity is reconciled to the owner-provided in-house fabrication reality; tanks are made to order, in any dimension required by the project. |
| Configuration | Single or double wall, compartments, buried or above-groundThe Weldplast tanks page mentions single/double walls, compartments and buried/above-ground installation. |
| Minimum quote inputs | Volume, liquid, temperature, concentration, location, fittings, sketchWith these inputs, the quote can move from a preliminary estimate to a technical recommendation. |
Choose material from the liquid and working conditions
PP-H is often used for chemical applications and welded tanks; PE-HD/PE100 is common for tanks, water and many industrial uses. The final choice depends on the safety data sheet, concentration, temperature and contact time.
If the liquid is corrosive or leakage risk matters, explicitly ask for a double-wall or containment option. Material certificates are supplied by the material supplier, according to its certificates; Weldplast welding is DVS-certified.
What to send for a useful quote
Send the usable volume, desired total volume, any dimensions required by the available space, fittings, manhole, flanges, vent, sensors, supports, filling/draining method and whether the tank is installed indoors, outdoors or buried.
For industrial projects, include the layout and any transport or handling limits. All tanks are configured made to order, in any dimension required by the project, and public Weldplast projects of 17,000 L, 25,000 L, 30,000 L and 35,000 L are examples with their own context.
Quote request checklist
- 1Define the liquid and attach the safety data sheet if available.
- 2Record concentration, normal temperature and maximum temperature.
- 3Choose the usable volume and any dimensions required by the available space.
- 4Mark all fittings, flanges, manholes and sensors.
- 5Say whether the tank is buried, above-ground, indoor or outdoor.
- 6Request the material supplier certificates and Weldplast DVS welding documents required by the project.
Short FAQ
Can I ask only for “a 10,000 L tank”?
Yes. Weldplast can help choose the right configuration once we know the application, pressure, fluid, temperature, location and fittings.
Does Weldplast make double-wall tanks?
The tanks page mentions single or double walls. The team checks the right option from the liquid, leakage risk and project requirement.
Is there a standard price per litre?
Price per litre is confirmed after the technical context is clear. Material, thickness, accessories and installation define the final quote, provided on request.

- Existing Weldplast content, reconciled with owner data: PE-HD/PP-H, in-house fabrication mostly up to ~35 t max (≈35 m³), single/double walls, compartments and buried/above-ground installation.
- Public Weldplast projects: PE100 tanks Serbia, large tanks Cluj, Reșița, Câmpia Turzii, Transylvania and 2025–2026 projects of 25–35 m³.
- Prices, wall thicknesses and chemical compatibility are confirmed per project, through a quote; material certificates come from the material supplier, and welding is DVS-certified by Weldplast.
